ATHENS (August 25) - Shingo Matsumoto was promoted to seventh place at 84 kg after Egypt's Mohammed Abdel Fatah was disqualified from the greco-roman competition for unsportsmanlike conduct. Matsumoto, who had two wins against one loss in preliminary pool competition, had originally been awarded eighth place at the wrestling competition at Ano Liossia Olympic Hall. Matsumoto, however, was promoted after Abdel Fatah berated the officials following his 2-0 loss to Viachaslav Makaranka of Belarus in the quarterfinals.
