JAPAN 4 CHAMPS, BUT 2ND AS TEAM IN ASIA JR FEMALE MEET




TOKYO (July 6) - Japan crowned four champions in the women’s competition at the Asian junior wrestling championships, but had to settle for second place in the team results, one point behind winner Mongolia with three champions. The Japanese champions were Nodoka Nishi (48 kg, Waseda University), Yoshiko Inoue (63, Chukyo Women’s University), Chiaki Iijima (67, Abe Gakuin high school), and Anna Uno (72, Nippon Sports Science University).

Ai Shimizu (51, Toyo University) took a silver medal while Mika Naganuma (44, Gifu Nishi Kogyo high school) and Kaya Tsuda (59, International Pacific Rim University) bagged bronze medals.
