BUCHAREST (July 31) – Japan's four entries on the final day of the junior wrestling world championships posted a pair of wins but could advance no further, leaving the Japanese men without a medal for the first time in two years.

Fumitaka Morishita got win at 55kg but then fell to eventual fifth-place finisher Erdenbat Bekhbayar (MGL) in the second round, while Naoki Iwabushi also notched a win over the Africa junior champ but was tripped up in the next round by Rana Parveen (IND) who later took a bronze medal at 66kg.

Kengo Sasaki lost to 2010 Asia junior champ Islam Azizov (KAZ) at 84kg and Tomoyoki Oka fell to the defending world champ Muradyn Kushkov (UKR) at 120kg in the first round.
